TOLEDO-CONSUEGRA

In this excursion we will start in Toledo in Fortunata & Jacinta in this establishment in which we meet Paco, the owner, and a knowledgeable host to offer us a tasting of all its 100% handmade products. Among its products you will find nougat, marzipan, mantecados and select flavours ice cream of incredible quality. We can also be part of the making the marzipan, gathering the raw ingredients, then baking it. The experience with Paco, I can assure you, is an unsurpassed gastronomic experience.

After this experience ,we will visit the city of Toledo, departing from the Alcazar going towards the Cathedral and getting lost in all its alleys, so as to enjoy a City where we can find Arab, Jewish and Christian remains, and even Christian churches that were once Arab; where we can see the mixture of the two cultures in one building. It is a city to enjoy on foot. If you are interested in painting, we will visit the Jewish quarter where we will find the El Greco Museum where we can find the famous burial painting of Count Orgaz.

It is then time to eat and we will go up to the viewpoints of the Valley where we will have the most spectacular views of the city, from where we can see the monuments that we visited in the morning. Here, we have two options to eat either having a picnic in the [feeders] with sandwiches, empanadas and fruit, or else eat at the Parador de Toledo giving the highest viewpoints of the Valley. where we will have wonderful views of Toledo.

After lunch we will go to Consuegra where we will enjoy the Don Quijote route where we will see its famous windmills; where they will explain its working and we can see one of them in operation; we can also see the castle of Consuegra located on Calderico Hill next to the windmills.
